Another idea that sounds good on paper but is impractical. I just purchased the Advanced Marathoning book and am looking forward to using the 12/55 plan for an early June race. I bought it on my Kindle and forgot about itoops. I'll have to go back and read that one. Most of the books you have seen above are books for regular runners, those who see a marathon as their ultimate challenge. Looking forward to hearing about your take on the Advanced Marathoning book. Advanced Marathoning – Written by Pete Pfitzinger, this book lays out options with higher mileage plans to assist advanced runners in getting faster and stronger. Seems for running I like to have the physical book. Intended mileage really p£$%^d me off, and makes me think that I should try a totally different way of training – which brings me to Arthur Lydiard and the Pfitzinger and Scott Advanced Marathoning book and training plans.
